Was in some way involved in thwarting Shub-Niggurath's cult.

Personality[]

Little is known about the personality of Frank other than how he writes the letter. He seems a person filled with some remorse/regret for the events of the cult, as well as grief for the demise of his wife. He has a strong urge to protect Emily, however, and that seems to be his primary goal towards getting out of the Dreamlands.

Description[]

Described only as wearing "Clothes from… a place that could very well be Arkham", Frank is but a corpse upon his discovery in the Dreamlands.[1] His bag, however, contains selenine, said to be able to restore control of Arthur's body from John.

History[]

In the Dreamlands, where Frank becomes trapped at some point in time, he writes a letter down to Henry MacFarland, a friend of his. He notes that the happenings of Cult of the Black Goat and specifically Antoine has altered his mind drastically. He notes that he "never left the Dreamlands".[2] He mentions that his wife seems to have died in a mysterious way, noting her death in the "real world" as well as whatever other reality he speaks of through this "crack".[2]

He makes a promise to Henry, in this letter, that he will not let harm come to Emily from "them"[3], and that he will escape the Dreamlands to protect her. Along Arthur's journey, he encounters several instances of Frank's journey through the Dreamlands, such as the boat and map,[4] and the campsite and beastiary from the caves.[5]

However, Frank does not make it out of the Dreamlands, and he is found, deceased, in what seems to be a temple to The King In Yellow, and perhaps being used as a tool to trick Arthur. [1]
